Public Information Sessions: 5th to 12th February 2001.

The second Public Consultation was held between the 5th and 12th of February 2001. The purpose was to hear public views and reaction and to respond to any queries. The following were the venues:

• Greenhills Hotel 5th, 6th and 7th of February 2001.
• South Court Hotel 8th and 9th of February 2001.
• Jury's Hotel 12th February 2001

It was decided, by the Technical Steering Committee, that as two routes and two crossing types were still under consideration, these would be put on display at the Public Consultation. The two routes on display were the Eastern Option (Route 4C2) and the Western Option (Route 5C). The two crossing types on display were the Immersed Tunnel and the Low Level Opening Bridge.

The total number of people who attended was 1221 (including 59 public representatives). Each person received a copy of the scheme brochure and a questionnaire along with a free post envelope.
